 Hola Hola!!!!

I am so EXCITED!!! I have been APPROVED to have surgery (MGB) on May 13th.  And now that I have been approved, I am going to start my Pre-op diet.   Any suggestions on what I should do before surgery?  I need to lose 15 pounds in a month :)

Thank you,

Fernanda

Well, I would recommend eating healthy.  Dr. Rutledge is one to say eating healthy is the key.  Portion control.  If you have to, get kids plates and utinsels and use them.  Eat slowly and enjoy each bite. It's texture, taste, feel, smell.  Don't read or watch TV while you eat.  This will distract you and you may eat more than you should.  Also, protein will keep you full longer.  Water based foods are good but will not keep you full as long.  If you can, get in a good support group now before surgery.  Start working on the issues that brought you to this place.  This is alot, but even though I am nine years out, I still need support.

Congrats!!!!

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.
