Revision on 11/20/14

I have my lap band surger almost 2 years ago. I think total I have lost about 50 pounds. I still weight 240! I am NOT thin. I am still considered morbidly Obese (i am 5'2") I do NOT consider this to be successful. Now I have started thinking about getting a revision. but I don't know which way to turn.

Can this type of surgery be done laporoscopically? (spelling???)

Do you have the same type of problems as we do with the band? (Sliming, Stuck etc.)

What kinds of foods can mostly NOT be tolerated?

Any advice anyone has for me would be great. I am making an appointment to talk to my surgeon and tell them how unhappy I am. and see what they suggest too. Thanks again.

Hi,

1) Yes it is done laproscopically
2) No, the main issues are absorption, and ulcer risk.  These can be avoided by taking your supplements and watch your intake of alcohol, carbonation and other erosive things.
3) Most all, but it is individual.
