HELP finding mgb doctors in IL, MO or KY

I have been researching Lap Band and MGB for a couple of years.  I am now with a company that will cover WLS.  Having a heck of a time finding a doctor in the tri-state area.  If anyone can help please let me know. I even went to CLOS.net but they no longer take insurance and I cannot self pay.  Wish I could but life gets in the way of that. Kelly

Kelly, Since Clos.net does not accept insurance and you cannot selfpay you really need to look at other options such as the lapband or the RNY.  I had the mini gastric bypass 7 1/2 years ago (when they accepted insurance of course).  I am having a revision surgery next month to the RNY.  Good luck on your choice.

Dr. David Hargroder in Joplin, Missouri does the mgb.  Can you take out a loan, get the surgery then have your insurance pay you back?  Check your retirement.  I am borrowing from it and paying back into it.  Mutual funds, stocks, sell something.  Just ideas. Jo

I know Dr. Hargroder does the MGB, but I don't think he takes insurance either. 

Dr Hargroder has now set up a payment plan from what I have been told. I had my MGB on the 2nd of February, 2007 and have gone from 266 to 174 and very happy with where I am at.  He does consults online as well as his office and is also planning on having a seminar very soon for information as well as monthly support meetings so check them out.

I had my MGB done in Joplin Missouri by David Hargroder and at St Johns Hospital in Joplin. He has a webpage and does seminars if you want to email me your email address I can forward to you.
