are there any major complications with having the mgb and a few years later end up pregnant?

Check with CLOS.net.  There have been several post-ops on the Yahoo board who have had babies after having had the MGB.  I'm sure someone in the CLOS office could answer your questions. Sandy

i had the MGB 8-31-04 and am almost 36 weeks pregnant.  i am also 42 years old.  yet, despite my "advanced maternal age" i have breezed through this pregnancy.  withing the past 6 or so weeks ago, i did become anemic, and my b-12 levels were quite low as well.  i am now receiving 1 b-12 shot and 2 iron IVs each week through the rest of my pregnancy.  but i feel great, and my low levels did not affect the baby's growth or development according to my last US.
