Weston FL - MGB - Rosenthal

Hi everyone! Happy new yr. I'm inquiring about MGB and if anyone on here has had or discussed the MGB procedure with Dr Raul Rosenthal @ Cleveland clinic.  He did my RNY in 2005 and now my 21 yo son is looking @ this as an option. I want to educate myself about the procedure.  Thanks in advance for any help! Barbi

Hi,   The Mini Gastric Bypasswas developed by Dr. Robert Rutledge and he has only two doctors in the US trained to do this surgery. (See CLOS.net for information.)  I don't know if this is another type of surgery someone is calling the MGB, but the "original" is only done through these docs. Hi Barbi: Could you share with us, what Dr. Rosenthal had to tell you about the mgb that you decided for RNY.
Reason why, I´m asking you is that i am right now undecided for mgb, rny or vsg.
