general questions

I'm going to have to have WLS, but I am just trying to find out as much information as I can. The MGB sound wonderful, but I can't pay up front, So if that is criteria for that, then I won't be having that. My next option is the Rouen Y. There is are drs. here locally who will do that type, as a matter of fact, a few years ago, I had everything ready up to approval of insurance, and they would not approve it even on appeal. I have to do something, I am on so many meds, and it is costing me so much per month, I can hardly afford them. I would like to hear from folks in the PEE DEE area of South Carolina. I live in Effingham, and work in Florence.

Good morning! Paying out of pocket and insurance denial is hard. I don't have any answers for you but hope you can find someone on the boards here who do. Did you join the SC board too? I would suggest you check with clos.net and see if any of the surgeons do accept insurance for the MGB even though Dr. Rutledge doesn't. Good Luck! Paula
