I had my endoscopy today. It went ALOT better than my ultrasound. My surgeon preformed the endoscopy. He was nice enough. They did my labwork. They gave me some numbing spray in my mouth and then the "good stuff" kicked in. I felt it in my feet first and then my head. Next thing I know, I was awake and it was time to go home. I was so nervous when I got there. I was so worried about swallowing the scope and now I don't even remember doing it. I am now another step closer. I only have my psych eval left and then I submit for approval. I am so ready.

I have lost about 24 lbs so far. I am smaller than I have been in about 18 yrs except for a stint on phen-fen. I am a workaholic and tend to overload myself. But, I got behind with surgery. Right now prices for building a home are quite low, so those who can build are really in a hurry to do so. Thus, I work myself to the bone. It will get better. I hope. Diana

thanks for the welcome i found out what happened with the tricare situation. i guess the docs office called me to make an appointment before tricare called them to see if there was any availability. i must have been the only space available at walter reed, because right now there are no appointments available. the lines of communication got tied up, that's all. but, i do have a choice of going to walter reed or a civi doc because of the mixup

My progress is going well. I have been very busy trying to get caught up on my work. Everybody wants their plans done NOW. So, if you don't see much of me, just have sympathy for me working 14 hr days at my computer. LOL. I hope I can get caught up in the next couple of weeks. I need a break other than surgery. I keep trying to teach my DH how to run the program, but he has a problem, the computer won't listen to a single command no matter how much he yells. ROFL. It is frustrating for him to not be in controll. Oh well, at least he is cooking for me. Diana

WOW, I have no clue. I see civilian Drs so my experience was a little different. I had no problems getting the approvals I needed and everything went very smooth for me. Every Dr and every program is different. So, it is hard to compare. What matters is that you get a good and experienced surgeon. I put in a request for the Dr I wanted to see. Good luck and keep posting. Diana
