That does sound like good news. It at least sounds like they are getting everything set to go for you. If they get it submitted tomorrow you will prob. know by Friday. I will keep my fingers crossed for you Jaye Jaye

Hi Taressa I am in the same boat you are in. I am just waiting for the psyc. evaluation to be sent to my doctor.(get this they told me that it takes a week to a week and a half for the personality tests I took to be graded and sent to my Dr.'s office) For all I know they should be done and there now. (it's been a week and a half) The coordinator at the Dr. office told me once she had them in it would take up to a week for them to get everything else together and send it in!!! Now I know it is all been well discussed on here. It only takes 24 to 48 hours to be approved. I finished the last of my appointments early Monday morning Sept 24th. I am just very anzy and wanting to get things MOVING!! However, no one else I am dealing with seems to be in a rush. I have refrained from calling the Dr.'s office or Tricare(so far). I am going to give them to the end of next week. If I have heard nothing I will call and check on things. I would just sort of give it to Tuesday or Wednesday and call Tricare back if I were you. I feel your pain and I know how you are feeling; but you don't want to call TOO much over at your Dr.'s office. I would say give yourself a time frame and check back with Tricare. I know it doesn't make things easier; but that is what I am trying to do as well. Jaye Jaye

yes i did, but my pcm had me do this, and she told me that it wasnt always necessary however when doing this they approve you easier, verces having to go through an appeal process. i didnt do it in a letter format more like a list, i included all the medications i was on, then went on to my issues such as asthma, diabities then listed which medication i use for that problem, how often it is perscribed for and how this problem actually effects me then in a different paragraph i wrote down my diet history best to my ability i also included what weight loss and weight gain i had while on these "diets", and then any training about right food choices, so i included anything i could think of, such as WIC, diabities dietician. i also put down all my blood sugars for the month, then averaged it all out for them. i dunno hopes that helps feel free to ask me any other questions about this -jennifer

I did not have to write a letter. I never heard of it. But Tricare qualifications are always changing. I would call Tricare and find out.

Hey someone from my neck of the woods . Im Tina Im also awaiting to have my surgery should have a date soon will find out soon should have my second appt with surgeon soon which at that time I will get a date and packet put in for approval from tricare.. I wish I was still over in WA was born and raised there move almost three years ago.. Miss it alot I lived in Spanaway close to Mcord and Fort Lewis and worked in Bellevue. Cant wait to move back since all my friends and family in WA. Well keep me informed on your progress maybe we will have surery around the same time... GOOD LUCK!!! Tina
