Topic: pysch is done
after being anxious and stressing about the pysch eval. it was really a piece of cake. it took only 30 minuets. he said he is going to write me a letter and will have it faxed within 24hrs saying he feels i would be a good canidate, among the other things he has to put in the letter. just so releaved..urg though i have to get a pap smear done, however i am having woman issues..i have been bleeding for 30 days now. i went to the dr and she put me on another birthcontrol and said hopefully i will stop bleeding within a couple of weeks..isnt it ironic that one of the easiest steps i have to get done to get the surgery is going to be one of the hardest and longest. i did tell her how this is making me have to wait longer to get the the surgery and she just said all in due time, you'll stop bleeding. anyways how is everyone doing? i' d love to hear a update on you gals. how much weight have you lost, or what part of this journey are you at?!

Topic: RE: PROTEIN
i used unjury way before i even had wls. i like the chocolate and used the unflavored ones in my yogurt and cereal. i have been using unjury since 2003. i had my wls in 2006 and my taste buds changed. i now liek using optimum nutrition gold standard 100% pure whey in rocky road flavor. i LOVE that one. it has 24 gms of protein and mixed with 8-10 oz of milk you get 32-34 gms of protein. the texture is very nice and i personally love the flavor. a few of my friends post-op like the chocolate mint. they have about 6-8 various flavors. i do not liek using the unflavor unjury anymore. just a personal choice. i now enjoy using champion nutrition pure whey protein stack in vanilla. 1 packet of this protein has 52 gms, 1/2 packet has 26 gms and is more reasonable to use 1/2 than the whole packaet. with milk you get 34-36 gms of protein. the thing i like about this one is you can cook and bake with it. when i bake cookies, cakes or pies, i add 1/2 a packet of this. i also use it in my cereal, yougurt, etc. i want to get as much protein in things i can use this in. just remember you might the taste or flavor of things pre-op but once you are post-op your tastebuds might change as it did with me. i cannot stand the flavor of liquid protein that come in vials and known as bullets. i love it pre-op, but gag and throw up on it post-op. if you want to know where to buy these let me know and i will post it for you. my best to you.

I'm glad to hear from you. You are doing great. I have lost a little over 30 lbs. I am slow, but losing. I fgured you were really busy. My 1 finger typing is not fun, but I had to say Hi. If you want to see what I have done to myself, you can look at my post below. Diana
Topic: RE: I wrecked on my bike
I have to laugh about it, or I would just cry. I see the dentist tomorrow and the orthopedic surgeon Tuesday.
I have a radial head fracture. That is my elbow. My femur is cracked just above the knee. 3 teeth broken. No skull or facial fracture, thank goodness. My face looks broken and it feels worse. I have a hard time eating. I can't open my mouth or chew.
It is hard to brush my teeth, so I don't know how the dentist is going to do his thing? My left arm hurts from using it.
It is just fine to laugh with me. After all, This is my second set of stitches in my chin this year. Both spread eagle, splat belly flop.
All the casting and imobilizer weighs 5 lbs. not bad, they feel heavier. As long as I have sympathy (yes, I want all I can get) LOL. We can all laugh. This is my first broken bone. 3 of my kids have had very bad fractrues that required surgeries. So, I am not soo bad.
We have to keep a good sense of humor with things like this. It can always be worse.
My daughter says I need training wheels. 1 finger typing SUCKS!
How about a trike? Diana
