Hi Molly, Hedi is right . You just have to go to one nutrition class. Psy. evaluation...possibly a sleep study, and a couple other appointments depending on your physical condition and doctor. Some insurances do require 6 months of diet; but Tricare Prime is not one of them. Even though I have to start over again because of my husband transfering. Tricare Prime is one of the best insurances for WLS. They require a lot less , and they cover pretty much all of the costs.....what you have to pay is usually just minor expenses if any. I hope this helps. Good luck! Jaye Jaye

Topic: I AM APPROVED
Today started out as any other day, well not really, I was checking my status of my paperwork every 20 min. At 3:10 I went to the Tricare web site and WOW! I AM APPROVED. I am so happy. I called the office to verify and it is true. She said they would contact me Monday to set a date. I am just bubbling over. I will be setting on pins and needles 'till Monday but it is worth it. WOW

I know that I am not lucky enough to find anyone close to where we are about to be stationed; but I thought I would give it a try anyway. Thanks so much, Jaye Jaye

Hi, my name is Christie and found the message board on a member's profile. Wow--all this time I've been a member and didn't even check out he message boards. I have been post-op for nearly 5 1/2 months with a 75 lb weight loss---I am now at the halfway point and hope to drop another 75 lbs to make my goal weight of 160. Well that's the plan anyway, but if I feel like 170 or 175 or whatever number is a healthy weight, then that's where I'll hang out. So I am a military wife, currently we're stationed at Fort Knox and it seems like forever that we've been here---actually the whole 3 years we've been married! And we'll probably be here another year! Oh well, it's not so bad. Anyone else living la vida rica in KY?
