Topic: Got a date
I am so happy.
I got a surgery date.
July 31 is the big day. I have alot to do in July before I can have surgery.
I was thinking it was all done. Now there is a whole list of things to do. I have to complete a training class. More blood work and I get to tour the hospital. That will be so cool
I can't wait. I am ready

Topic: Tri-Care Prime
I am new here, but I am now 7 yrs out, I was approved by Tri-care in a month. But now I am gaining weight back and I am waiting for my referral for a surgeon to see if I need to have it redone. I never got to my goal weight and I so need to have the skin removed and a good boob job. I live in Vegas, is there anyone out there that has been approved by tri-care for tummy tuck and skin removal and breast job?
Thank you--

My husband had one about a year a go. He didn't sleep long, but it was enough to get the data. When he went back to be fitted for a cpap, they gave him a sleeping pill. You might ask if they can do that if you cannot sleep. It isn't bad except all the wires and you know someone is watching you. I am not looking forward to it either. Diana

I understand completely. I don't sleep well on normal nights. I'm not looking forward to the sleep study. My advice, keep yourself really busy tomorrow. Maybe you will fall asleep from exhaustion.

Great going. I sure don't want to become diabetic. I really need to do something. Tricare is my only insurance, I have been considered uninsureable for several years now and none of it is even weight related. So far, Hospital stays have only cost us $25.00 and office dopay is $12.00. My husband is on Medicare and Tricare for life. He pays nothing and doesn't have to have anything approved. Good thing he just had 2 surgeries and pullmonary embolism after the last one. 24 days in hospital in total. And the army still wants him back!! Diana

I too am an older retiree. I had my Lap RNY on March 20, 07 in Frankfurt Germany. It is nice to see a military forum for our unique problems and situations. I too wish we had a little more participation. I did not use tricare, even though they did give me the approval. there was a co-pay that would have been way to high. No co-pay for active duty here in germany I believe. The most important thing for me is that I will be 3 months soon and I have come off of insulin and that was the just the Icing on my cake!! or carrots now LOL.
