Girl, I know exactly what you mean about PAPERWORK My surgeons office and I went around and 'round about PAPERWORK. Three weeks and two mix-ups on their part the right request got turned in and Tricare approved me within 24 hours. That is messed up. I am glad your hubby came around to your way of thinking, well at least supporting you. So Congratulations & Good Luck

Ya know what girl... I honestly... SWEAR BY the Bariatric Advantage Vitamins.. .they taste good and all of them are chewable or dissolvable. If i buy it in a 3 month supply it comes out to be 45 dollars a month... Multivitamin (orange chewable), Calcium (cinnamon lozenge), Iron (strawberry chewable), B-12 (Berry sublingual), and Thiamin and a B Complex... which are capsules... which i can break open and put into applesauce or whatever (put them in a protein shake and you can't taste them). They are made for Bariatric Surgery Patients... and Work great... lol. Well Anyways... I'm off to stare at the words "approved" on the tricare website again... LOVE IT! Krissy

Well, I have tricare standard as well (hubby is based in VA, and We live in CO... *sigh* no oceans here... no MTF's here). They JUST approved me today for surgery and the surgery has to be done before the 9th of september... so honestly, I would wait a few to submit it... and you'll be ok. Honestly you would be fine doing it now, but waiting a week or so gives you an extra week leeway incase your surgery has to be postponed. For Approval, honestly all you will need is your doc's dictations, any paperwork that the docs office has you fill out, and anything from your behavioral evaluation and you should be good to go. Tricare approved my surgery in less than 12 hours... So GOOD LUCK!!!! Krissy

I've been going through so much He77 to get this approval... my surgeons office kept telling me they sent my papers when they hadn't... they FINALLY sent my paperwork today.... and.... APPROVED ME!!!!!!! There was a point in the past few days where i was so stressed and just thought i was going to crack! I got some support from an unexpected source... being my husband. Before he went overseas he told me he didn't want me to have lapband because he just married me and didn't want to lose his wife. Well... I've been avoiding telling him that i was doing this because I didn't want him to talk me out of my health... I pretty much had decided that I wasn't going to tell him at all till it was over, especially with how stressed he's been lately. So his stress has lightened up a bit and i just got the nerve... i told him "i need your support on something, its really important, and you have to promise me that you wont take your support away from me even if you don't like it" his response was "If its something bad i'm gonna kick your A$$ but I will support you with anything" and I told him and he said "baby, you know I can't be there for surgery but I will support you" which... I didn't expect him to say that... at all. Well Anyways, that's my story... Yesterday I got his support, today I got Tricare's ... I'm a Happy Happy HAPPY Camper!!!!! Krissy
