Yep, that would be H. pylori. It should be gone by surgery. Diana

I dont know if that was what it was or not, but it sounds like it. They did a blood test, then a tissue test during the endoscopy, so it sounds like it is the same thing. I have lots of medicine for it though...lol. He said it should be cleared up before surgery so that is good.

Wow Erica I am so happy for you!!!
I love to watch the tv show Deadliest Catch on Discovery. The background scenery on the show is always so beautiful!!! I love crab legs!!! Can't get much fresher seafood than you will be able to get!!
You might have liked SC; but oh boy was I so happy to leave that place. LOL I never realized how much Drill Sergeants had to endure. I knew it would be alot; but I never knew it was to that extent.
Again I am so happy for you. Things are all going you way!!! You are such a nice person, and have been so great to talk with!!! You deserve it all!!!
congrats again!!!

I am so glad to hear from you. I was hoping that nothing was wrong. I know that we all get busy and don't have a chance to post. I have to be at the hospital at 5:00 am this coming Tuesday for my surgery. I did all of my pre-op yesterday and that really made it feel real, plus has made me extremely nervous. But I know that I am definitely ready to get the ball rolling.
Take care and good luck.

You can never give me too much information and you won't gross me out. My family has even gotten used to medical conversations at the diner table. I try to spare them autopsy info however. I've seen just about everything. I still keep up on medicine even though I no longer work in the lab.
As far as nerves go, I'll be shaking in my boots when its my time. I do try to keep busy. Not hard for me, I have more work than I can get done and then there are my hobbies. You might try reading a good book. I have some classic shildrens books that are really good and not complicated. When I am nervous I can't read deep stuff. "Brighty of the Grand Canyon" is a great book. I have a whole llist of classic childrens lliterature as well as adult. I have collected about 400 of these books. Good reading. Find something to occupy your mind so you don't sit and worry. They also work for after surgery. They are kids books but so well written and such good stories that I really enjoy them. I have been through several surgeries and I have 5 children and several miscarraiges. I guess I am experienced. Diana

Well, my bmi is like 43 now. And i have hypertension but it can be controlled by taking a pill so technically (according to the A-hole *****viewed it) i am not at the point where it is medically necessary for me to have this done. Its all BS .. but after more then a year of dealing with it, I'd rather just have the debt and my health rather then continue to deteriorate until they decide im sick enough. I figure once i have my health back anything is possible so i'll do what i have to, to pay it off.
I feel confident in the doctor i chose. He has done this surgery to thousands of people, including 2 of my family members and he has more then 10 years of experience.
I'm going to have it done in Monterrey, NL, Mex. its about 2 hours from where i live. My mom will drive me and we have family there so we're staying with them instead of a hotel. I'm going to stay in town for at least a week, maybe more if the doctor suggests it.
I'm not nervous right now, but i'm afraid i'll be really nervous right before. Sometimes i get really nauseous and vomit (TMI I know) when i get nervous, but I'm really hoping that does not happen.
Do you have any advise for handling the anxiety and nerves??
