Topic: TRICARE Standard Approval
Has anyone had the surgery done through TRICARE Standard? If so, I would love to talk to you about the "ins and outs" of it....I have a date, but I am told that TRICARE Standard does not pre-approve the surgery.
Thanks!

Topic: RE: Question about recovery?
Dear Mary,
Although I do not have young children, I did not have any help after the surgery. The only concern I would have would be the lifting. A plus is that you are having it lap instead of open. Good luck. I wish I could help you more. Linda
Topic: RE: RE: Getting Approved
For me approval was very quick and easy. Tricare made a record on approval the ladies at the office told me I had approval in less then 12 hours after submitting my paperwork

Topic: Question about recovery?
I posted this on the RYN board too. I am just tring to get as many answers as I can. Thanks in advance
Hello to all,
I have a pretty important question, that I hope you all can answer for me?
I have my lap RYN surgery on Sept 11th, YAY!! I am so excited to finally get my life back!
Problem with this is, my dh Will be deployed at the time of surgery, and about 6mos after. I have 3 kids( incase you didnt catch my screen name! lol), their ages are 6,5 and 1.
My mom will be here(Germany) right before the surgery and will leave less then a week after. Then that day she leaves, I have some wonderful ladies from my dhs works coming here to help a few hrs a day for about a week.
My question to you all is, Will I be ok to take care of my kids with out any kind of help 2 weeks after my surgery? I am more concerend about my baby, after all she is still not walking. So I have to carry her everywhere, and pick her up outta her crib, carry her up/down the stairs, ect..
I am just wanting to make sure my kids will be Ok. Any help would be greatly apprecitated
-Mary
