Topic: RE: Moving 2 Germany!!!
i am glad you are analyzing your situation carefully. i will say this, if your man doesn't give a sh*t about you or your kids, you should go with those who will care and love you all and be supportive. there is no reason to subject your emotional, mental and physical well being to be with anyone who will not demonstrate their concern, respect and love to you and especially to your kids. be strong and don't let anyone put you down or feel bad.
Topic: RE: Moving 2 Germany!!!
Well I thought about the whole Germany thing and decided to move me and my kids back to VA to be close to my family. I have given 7 years to prove to me how he felt about me and our kids and I finally WOKE up and relized that he doesnt give a SH** about any of us. So why should I pack up my kids and travel so far away from people that love us. Thanks to all of u that replied. I am gonna try to get the surgery done b4 we move.

Topic: RE: Just found you guys
Erica I have been reading your posts tonight...wow on the incision infection, I am glad you are doing better, I read y'all were at Ft. Hood before where you are now, My hubby grew up in Killeen and me in a small town about an hour from there. How cool is that? Anyways do you have any suggestions on what I should take to the hospital?
Topic: RE: hooahhhh
Sounds like your daughter and I have alot in common. We were in Ft Hood before hubby was put on Drill Sgt duty. He deloyed 3 times from there. He is also an infantry soldier and at the end of the year, we are headed to AK.
Welcome to the forum!
Topic: RE: Moving 2 Germany!!!
my daughter moved to germany from ft hood, killeen texas in march 2007 and LOVES living in germany. she was scared being in a foreign country and a language she doesn't understand., now, she doesn't want to come back to the states, lol. she will be at baumholder for 3 years and her husband just got his re-deployment orders to leave anywhere from sept to nov of this year. she will be alone again for 15-18 months. she lived in killeen texas alone for 12 months while her husband was in iraq.
germany is very beautiful and the people are friendly. my daughter even picked up some german words to converse with the locals. i am heading to germany for 2 weeks next year in late summer. maybe earlier.

i didn't know this forum existed and i asked last week to create one. i will drop by here when i log in. i have a daughter who is married to her infantry soldier. he was deployed in iraq and returned to ft hood, killeen, tx on dec 2006. they were stationed there for 2 years and are now in baumholder, germany. he hasn't been back for 5 months when he was called for redeployment again set from sept to nov 2007. my daughter sent me this and i thought it was very beautiful. i would like to share it and feel free to add it to your profile. it is meant and dedicated to all army wives that know what the terms means. hope to interact with some of you on this board...
I am an Army wife
I've noticed in my present job, there is a tiny quirk.
There's no respect at all and its not considered work!
Well, I am here to show you another point of view,
and give you an idea of what I really do!
Here's my job description
and to better understand,
it's written in the language of the Army Man.
I'm the IG, complaints come to me.
I am the Medic, I bandage skinned knees.
I'm the Legal Office and the courts-martial, too.
I decide the punishment, how much and on who.
I'm Health: Welfare, inspecting for junk,
and the 1SG checking the bunk.
I'm also Supply, in charge of food, clothes,
housewares, diapers, toys, heaven only knows.
I'm the MP who secures the door,
I'm also the PVT who GI's the floor.
I'm the Mess SGT who cooks all the meals.
I'm TMP in charge of the wheels.
I'm MWR planning all the fun
and I am the Bugler, announcing the "day is done".
I'm the KP who does all the dishes,
I am the DA who hears all you wishes.
I'm the CQ and the Fireguard, too,
there isn't that much that I don't do.
I'm the instructor too, you see,
because what is learned is taught by me.
I'm the Squad Leader who knows his troops well,
sometimes the Drill SGT *****ally can yell.
I'm the S4, S1, 2, 3,
just about everything must
come through me.
Appropriations, taskings, commitments too,
I'm responsible for all we do.
I never go to battle, and AR of some sort,
but you can count on me to bravely guard the fort.
I'm ALWAYS on duty, I never take leave,
no Holidays off, it's hard to believe!
I can never ETS, I signed for life,
my primary MOS is Mother, my secondary is Army Wife.
For all my devotion, to duty, my
LES says "NO PAY DUE"
because I'm not paid in money, but in the words of 'I LOVE YOU'.
I AM AN ARMY WIFE

The lifting worries me too. It sounds like its very soon to being going up and down stairs with a baby on you hip at 2 weeks.
Is there anyway you can e-mail someone at your doctors office so they can give you a definite yes or no?
