I am sorry about the date change, but be thankful that you have a date and have been approved,it is only 2 weeks later. Sorry to sound so blunt, I don't mean anything about it, I am very happy for you, I am just having approval issues of my own. Just hang in there and the 12th will be here before you know it. Hugs, Layla

I was given prenatal vitamins, and my calcium citrate from the Army Hospital and my doctor gave me refills on them as well. I purchased my chewable vitamins at wal-mart. Not sure if that helps you out or not Hugs Donna

I've never seen vitamins RX'd but I guess you could get your PCM to try. I bought my vitamins at Costco, big containers (300 pills in each), of chewable mulit and a chewable calcium with D. The multi I believe was around $8-9 and the calcium was $6 something. This will last me for 150 days, almost 4 months, and only $15, so you won't be spending $200 like you are thinking. Oh, I do take a B-12 everyother day (5000mcg), it desolves in your mouth and that was $5 at RiteAid. There are 30 in the package, so that will last me 2 months. Hope this helps!! Andi

What does the base pharmacy carry that you use? What don't they carry that you need to buy? I'm trying to figure out if I need to start stocking up on chewable vitamins and the other things I'll need now. Limited income here, so I don't want to have to spend $200 at Walgreens right before or after surgery if I can spend $20-$40 each pay period from here until the surgery. I know it varies at each base, but I just wanted to see what you have been able to get right there. In all honesty I don't even know what is generally recommended after surgery other than Flinstones Vitamins..... So.....what do you take? What can you get from the pharmacy? What do you buy at the store?
