Topic: how long did it take
ok so i know that it can vary how long for the approval for tricare, but what i want to know is how long the process took from the day you went into your pcm and put the request in until the day you were scheduled for the surgery. i just put my stuff in today, the dr said she thinks i will be approved but to make sure she had me give some history, and a letter to give to tricare with the request. so i am just wondering is this a lengthy process..like several months or several weeks. thanks in advanced

Topic: Appeal's with Tricare????
Has anyone appealed wls lately with tricare, and if you have how long did it take for you to get your answer? I am curious because Tricare received my appeal packet on the 3rd and I haven't heard anything yet. I am about to go insane!!!!! Thanks, Layla

Topic: RE: Re: Tricare approval time
I am in the same boat as you. I only have 3 more appointments before I submit for my approval. Good luck.

I'm so glad to hear you made it through great! It's amazing you are even on the computer at all.. I know I'm new but I'm so excited to hear about anyone who goes through this surgery with flying colors.. KUP on your progress and how you are feeling..

Topic: RE: Another Newbie to this board...
Hi Ladies..
Thanks for the rest of the warm welcomes! I've been out of town so this is the first time I've been able to get on since my last post.. I'm so glad I've found this board, on my state board there is no one that has to deal with Tricare or military stuff, so it's nice to see the difference in what goes on somewhere else..
Update on my surgery.. I went to the pre-op class and there are 8 pts that are to be done here at Keesler in the upcoming future & I am one of them. They are going to start calling people to set up the pre-ops next week.. I'm so excited and like one of the pp stated a little scared too, but I know this is what I need to do to get health because nothing else has worked. So hopefully I will hear from them soon. They are going to start off with one procedure a week then after a few weeks they will do 2. When they get more doctors on staff then it will continue to go up. but I should get to have my surgery in the next 9 weeks or less!! YEAH!!!

Thanks Donna!
Are you able to swallow the prenatals? Do you cut them in half or crush them?
