Navy wife.. Anyone get approved for Tummy tuck recently
I have been denied twice . I have a hernia and wanted to get that repaired at the same time as the Tummy tuck I am on my second appeal and I hope I can get my denial overturned. The paid for my breast reduction but wont pay for my breast. I have lost 122 pounds and I have alot of skin and they still say its cosmetic.. Im so frustrated.. HELP
I have heard of people who get TT's and breast jobs where we are at. I have heard that it is a $3000.00 copay for TT and a very long wait but you have to go through the naval hospital to get it and you have to have really bad saggy skin. As far as the implants there is an $800.00 copay and I am not sure about the wait for that or what the deal is with approval. The naval hospital here does have a plastic surgery center and I have heard that mil hospitals with the resourses are the only ones that do it. I cant speak from expericence so I am not sure how much of this is fact or fiction I do have one neighbor on a waiting list for a TT and another who is having a consult for implants. I am sorry I cant be of more help but it can be done from what I have been told. I hope this helps. -Briana
Catherine,
I was approved for and had my TT 8 months ago. I have also been approved for a mastopexy (breast lift), thigh lift, and recently was told that they approved me for a brachioplasty. I will be having these procedures done in March.......want to wait till next year.
APPEAL again.. and keep at it. I didn't have trouble but I have friends who were denied and then had them reversed. Don't give up!
Hugs,
Kathie
WOW!!! You got a TT. And tricare coverd it. I just wonder what it would take for tricare to cover mt tt. My apron don't hang below real real bad.
I have herniated disk in my lower back and i have been treated for that.
I get rashes real bad also. Do you think tricare will cover my tt on those grounds.?? Thanks debra
