GOT A DATE!!!

Well I'm new here to the boards and I am sooo excited. I have researched for a long time about weight loss options and finally decided that I wanted to get the Lap Band back in August well little did I know that Tricare would only pay for RNY so I decided to go that route until my most fabulous Bariatric Coordinator told me to hold of till Jan. cause she had good reason to believe that that band was going to be approved!!!! Well low and behold I have a date of Jan. 25th to get the lap band procedure done and Tricare is covering it!!! I'm sooooo excited. What do I do with myself? Does anyone here have the band? I'm going nuts here I'm so happy. I have done all my prelim stuff so now I just sit and wait for my 2 weeks prior to hop on the shakes then off to surgery for me yayayayayayay!

CONGRATS!!!!! That is so great to hear. I didn't have the lap band. I had the RNY on 11/30/2007. But good luck to you. We will make room for you on the loser's bench.
