Welcome. It is always nice to have new members. I don't know much about having the surgery while your DH is gone. But one of my friends had hers done while her husband was in Korea. She had her sister go with her to all her appointments and with her to surgery. I can tell you that her husband was TRULY surprised when he got back home. And good luck at Moody. Me and my DH are from GA and would give anything to get orders to Moody. Good luck to you and welcome again.

I have a friend that had surgery just before her DH went to Iraq. He had a very good surprise when he got home. My DH is retired so he was here to take care of me. You just need to make sure you have someone to get you around and plenty of help for a while after surgery. Do you have kids? that can be a little harder to take care of, but it can be done. The surgery has been well worth it for me. Welcome to the board. Diana
