Yet Another set back

I was informed this afternoon that the hospital where I was scheduled to have surgery is closing their bariatric unit. The way I understand it, the Doctor who is doing my surgery is stopping all surgeries, etc at that hospital. They say now that I will still have surgery but at another facility and not sure if it will be the same date or not. Please keep fingers crossed, prayers coming and good thoughts that he will be accepted at another hospital and that I will still be able to keep surgery for the same date but it is not very likely that will happen. This has been one big mess for me and I am almost at wits end. I thought that this surgery was meant to help me but I am beginning to think it is causing more harm than good. I just wanted you all to know what was going on now, so we are basically back to hurry and wait status.

Hurry up and wait that is the military way. This has to be very discouraging. Will you still have the same surgeon? Did he leave there becasue he didn't like the care his patients were getting or something like that. There is a lot of politics in medicine. I will remember you in my prayers. Sometimes things take so long that you do start to wonder. But then good things do happen to those who wait. You may be in much better hands in the new hospital. Prayers are being sent. I hope you can feel them. It really helped me jsut to know that there were people out there who cared. Hugs are being sent for you also. Diana

I honestly do not know what the deal is with the hospital. I have heard they are not closing down until Jan. 1st, so it makes me wonder why they are cancelling surgeries that have already been scheduled. I just knew there was something bad about this state. HA HA I do hope to still have the surgery, not sure at this point if it will be with the same surgeon or not. I have been having nothing but bad luck since Feb with this office. Which is bad because I really felt like he was the best surgeon in this area. So I will wait and see. Thanks for all the happy thoughts and great prayers.

I am so sorry that you are having such a hard time. It is just like Diana said ,"Good things come to those who wait." There are alot of politics when it comes to medical care. Maybe everything happened for good reason. Just keep your faith that this is what God intended(your surgery in a different facility). I will be praying for you, and that your date be kept the same as it was. God Bless you, Keep your faith, Jaye Jaye
