We got orders...we move...any surgeons there?

We are moving from Phoenix AZ to N. Carolina. We will be stationed at Camp Legeune and we will be there Oct 26th. Any bariatric surgeons there? I hope there will be good ones! Please help asap. Thanks!

Congrats on the orders. FYI, I have seen patients living at CLJ go to Walter Reed for their care. There are patients on obesity.com that have done this, so I really hope you can do this as well.

Where is Walter Reed. I googled Walter Reed and its an Army Hospital..so I assumed it wasnt close to Camp Lugeune

Oh, it's not close. LOL. But, people do go there to have stuff done. It's in DC. If you want something closer, I know Portsmouth Naval has a program as well...but I don't know much about it at all. Have you tried going on the Camp Lejuene Naval Hospital website? It may say something about bariatrics there? PS Why haven't you filled out my survey below, senorita?

Look up at the top of the message board. In red you will see "find a." Click the bariatric surgeon . It should take you to a map. Then click on the state of North Carolina. It will bring up up a list of surgeons. I would just start looking up different surgeons on here. Read people's profile's that have used surgeons in North Carolina. Go to North Carolina message board and post that you have Tricare Prime ask can anyone please give you some names of surgeons they used...especially if they have Tricare. I would just be getting as much info if I could if I were you....the state message board is a good place to start. I hope this helps!! Jaye Jaye

Im originally from NC, 31yrs lol but I loved Camp Lejeune, there is another lady on this board that is moving to Lejeune also. love their beaches, great fishing also. I think you will enjoy it there especially if you love seafood, country food and the Ocean ok here I go with the food right??? well you see the food must be good huh???? you see where Im at lmao . I live in Goldsboro. My husband is stationed at Seymour Johnson AFB. We are not too far from Camp Legune. I am seeing Dr. MacDonald. He is in Greenville, NC. He is very good. He has been doing gastric bypass for 20 years. He also works with other doctors in his office.
