I got my date changed for my educational class!!!! I am so excited. My original date was August 16th. I have had that date since May. My new date is TOMORROW..... TOMORROW!!! I am so ready. However, I do have a question. How is the educational class? I just want to know what to expect when I go.

Yeah!!!! that is terriffic. I didn't have to go to a class. I have met with my PA, the nut and the Dr. I have also been to 2 support group meeting. They just want you to understand every aspect of the surgery so you are well imformed. They want to make sure you are making an educated decision. Diana

My surgeon's program has two info classes. The first is mostly about insurance. The program coordinator conducted this one. She let us know what information to get together to give to them for submitting to insurance, like 5 years of medical records, diet history, etc. And she also gave us a list of phych docs they use, and got us set up for oximetry studies and/or sleep studies. The second info meeting was conducted by my surgeon. He went through a PowerPoint presentation on the surgery. The actual surgery with pictures, statistics, expected weight loss, complications, etc. This was suppose to be a 1.5hr meeting but lasted almost 3 hours. He answered everyone's' questions very thoroughly. Congrats on the earlier date! I know I was so excited to finally get to my first info class!! Andi
