Hello to all, I have a pre-op date with Dr. S of Aug 1 and a operation date of Aug 16. Time is moving so slowly..... any suggestions on how to make it move faster or on what I should be doing to prepare for surgery. I would love any advice. Thanks

No advise on how to make it go faster since I am right before you, August 13... The waiting is killing me

Congratulations. It looks like there are 3 of us in August. As far as keeping busy. you can come to my house I have lots to do. My problem is getting all my work done that I have to have done before surgery. I have 13 houses I am working on and at least 6 need to be done before. Yikes!!!!! Seriously, find something fun to do, read, find a hobby, go to a beading store and find out how to make yourself some jewelry. It's fun and easy to do. You need a couple of tools is all. You don't need everything. I am very busy, but I am still a little nervous. You can read profiles on OH. anything to keep busy. Take care Diana

I dont know how to make it faster either...mine is August 6th. I just keep trying to think of everything I need to get done before then, then it feels like I dont have enough time. Good luck to you and congrats on the date! Appearantly august is the lucky month!

4 of us in August. I wonder if there are any more? We can all get skinny together. Diana

I am looking at protein shakes and stuff but am unsure of what to buy. What flavors and which I will like best. I have read that our taste will change after surgery and am contemplating on whether I should buy any now or not. What would be the point of buying anything if our taste change and we can't stand what we bought after surgery? This is where I need the most help. Does the hospital/Doctors give you any samples to take home to get by on till you can go to the store? These are the questions that haunt me.

I'm in the same quandry. My Dr has some that he wants us to use for the first couple of weeks, but for the long term, I'm not sure. Diana
