Has anyone had the surgery done through TRICARE Standard? If so, I would love to talk to you about the "ins and outs" of it....I have a date, but I am told that TRICARE Standard does not pre-approve the surgery. Thanks!

Hey there, I had mydone through tricare standard and after the dr. office turned in all my paperwork for approval, tricare called me and told me that with standard you dont have to be pre approved. So yeah it was a piece of cake!! if you have any questions just ask me!! reagan

Tricare Standard was easy. According to my Doctors office it only take 5 days for approval. I just got approved yesterday. Had absolutely no problems whatsoever.

Once you have everything done according to your surgeons requirements, they should submit all the paperwork for Tricares approval. So you better quit smoking! I have a civilian Doctor, so I assuming it makes no difference. Tricare is super confusing, I learn as I go, too. ~Brandy~
