Tricare submission question

My Drs. Office submitted all my info to Tricare on Thursday the 12th of July. I called Tricare today and they said it's not showing up yet. Has anyone had this problem before? Someone told me it could take up to 3 business days to show up in the computer as pending. Once it shows up as pending it should take a week to find out if I am approved or not. Has anyone else experienced this?

It took tricare almost a month to get back to me. It was aweful 3+ weeks for me. I went and saw my sugereon on June 11th and didnt get my approval from tricare till July 5th. So ther is still Definte hope for you. I wish you the best.. Let ua know whats going on. -Mary

I was told by a Tricare representative that they have up to 5 business days from when they receive it to process it, because it is a surgery (I don't remember her exact words) but that is was a special pre-authorization and normal pre-authorizations take up to 30 days. It took 24 hours (from when my surgeon's office faxed it over) for mine to show pending and then another 24 hours to get my approval. If they still tell you they haven't received anything by tomorrow or Thursday, I'd have your surgeon's office re-submit the packet. Good Luck!! Andi
