Yea, we do everything together. You feel a little lost. And you are because you are only half when DH is gone. My family is my life. My kids are all grown now, and only one is home. Life does keep changing. Get all the hugs and kisses you can with that little one, they grow up way too fast. My DH is retired now, so he is always around now. I get scared at night when I am alone. I am armed to the teeth, but I still don't sleep well when he is gone. I even booby trap the doors. I mean I really get scared. My kids laugh at me. Just me. Diana

Yea, we laugh about it a lot. I sleep with a loaded shotgun that doesn't have a shell chambered. I've been told that any one that hears that shell being chambered knows enough to run. And they dang well better, cause I can use it. I'm weird. Keeps life interesting. You ought to see me when I have to travel (by car) alone. No one would dare bother me when they look in the window. hehe .. you booby trap to keep people out and we boobie trap to keep the kids in! We have this huge can of paint (like 5 gallons i guess) that we put in front of the door, that way it will make some noise to alert us and it will slow them down a little. They are so hyperactive. I know they are being good when they are loud but when they are quiet .. ohh goodness! I never know what to expect.

Oh I can relate to that. I have 5 that are ADHD. 3 are sevier. My oldest was crawling at 4 1/2 months and up and down stairs at 6 mo. I thought that was good. NO no no. My babies wore their knees out of the little stretch sleeper at 3 months of age. Yea, they are hyper. I did some of that booby traping too. I get you on the noise part. When it was quiet, there was trouble. We had lots of close calls and several broken bones and stitches and surgeries. The best one was the BB that had to be surgically removed from my 7 year olds hand by a hand Doc. Oh ya, and broken teeth. They all could hike forever and we took them out a lot. It burned up lots of energy and never a complaint about the food. Even when I forgot the sugar and we were eating Oatmeal with pd milk at 9,000 ft and 10 miles from base camp. Life was fun. I made cute pack backs for them so they could carry some stuff. I used to carry about 50 lbs up steep mt trails and loved every minute of it. They didn't take naps either. and 7 hrs sleep was always enough. We have had a lot of fun. Then there is my fear of bears. You out to see what I do to keep bears out of my camp. We have seen plenty of bears. Many within 10-15 feet. I have a bear collection now. I hope I give you some more laughs. Diana

Oh wow! i can't even imagine! My nephews have alot of energy but they do take naps and they will sit and watch cartoons once in a while. They don't have ADHD. It just feels like they do sometimes. and 5 kids! wow! My DH wants 1 (maybe) and i tell him i want 5 because i figure we can meet in the middle and have 3 and thats what i really want anyway .. hehe.

I know how ya feel. My husband left 3 days after we got married, he's been gone for 8 months now, just got back in the US, I wont see him for another 3 weeks, and then after that... he goes back over seas. Not so much fun. Good luck with the lonliness though. Once it gets farther along you will realize that it goes a lot quicker than expected. Krissy
