So, Im being re-evaluated today. My weight is up i am on stronger meds for hypertension.
Have any of you been approved by being 100% above your ideal weight pluse a co-morbidity?
I've been denied about 4 times now. Tircare acknowledged that i am 100% above my ideal weight however i was on really mild hypertension medication so they denied me because my hypertension wasn't serious enough i guess.
Now, I am on stronger medication for hypertension and i'm really hoping they approve me because i really don't want to keep getting sicker and sicker.
Im working out and doing a diet and takeing my medications but nothing i do really seems like enough. Please pray that i am approved soon! thanks!
I was just curious....do you mean 100 pounds overweight, or 100% over your ideal weight...which would make you double what your ideal weight is? The reason I'm asking is becasue I know if you are double what you should weigh, you should be able to get approved with no problem, but if you are 100 pounds overweight then I don't know how they look at the comorbidities. I will keep you in my prayers, I wish you the best. I know it is so frustrating, but hang in there. People who give up never get what they want.

I am 100% over my ideal weight. But tircare is asking for a co-morbidity in addition to that.
Originally no co-morbidity was reported to tricare. I was denied because of that. Then we appealed and submitted the co-morbidity but i was denied again. This time with no explanation as to why.
I talked to tricare and so did my PCM and my surgeon and we were all told to go ahead and get re-evaluated and resumbit everything as if it were the first time. I was told that sometimes when things are not done a certain way the denial is automatic even if the person qualifies for the proceedure. I was also told that alot of it depends on the person reviewing the case. I think its all really unfair but i guess thats life. I'll just keep tring.
