Wecome to the board. We are retired after 40 years. So, I am old. I am glad I don't have to worry about deploment anymore. My husband has 8 1/2 years of actual combat. He's been wounded twice. I feel for you young ones that still have to face that. Good luck with your surgery. I am Preop, just getting my stuff together. I worked in Lab for 35 years. I can't do it anymore, I can't walk enough and I just got burnt out. I had to work alone a lot without any backup or phlebotomist. Not even a secretary. I worked very closely with the Docs and nurses. Er would hellp triage for me when things were rough. I helped them out when they needed it. Teamwork works. Good luck with your boards. I'm gald I don't have to go through that again. Mine was a national registry testing. Are you going for a 4 yr RN? Diana

After I hopefully pass my boards and actually get the RN, I start back to school in January to get my bachelores then on to get my masters, thats the plan right now anyways. Good luck with your surgery.

Glad to have you here Tanya! WELCOME!!!! My husband is active Army and has been deployed 3 times to Iraq and 1 time to Afghanastan and is on rotation to head back to Iraq so I know how it is when the DH is deployed. Eating and worrying is about all we can do right? Ive gained so much weight in the past few years its not even funny so eating and a thyroid problem has gotten the best of me lol. But Im working on it! Ive not gotten a date yet but Im hoping it will be soon. Again Welcome to the board, glad to have you. Hugssssssss Donna
