I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience. If you don't mind me asking, who performed your surgery?
Had Dr. Kuri for Lapband in 2008 and out in 2012 - just didn't work for me - looking at getting a gastric sleeve and wondering if Dr. Kuri is a good choice. Would love any feedback on someone who has experience with him with the last year or so with a Sleeve. Thanks so much! Tractortilly

I am learning and looking into sleeve with Dr. Lopez @ ALO. Can anyone tell me the good, bad and ugly with him and his facility? I have read few good reviews but can't seem to find out much at all. I have read his official web page and other posts that seem to promote him. I want the real deal, no fluff. Thanks!
yes she is totally beautiful and so professional and she will your day wonderful! I had zero pain afterwards my surgery and zero pain after I got home recovery time was very quick and I never felt so safe in Tijuanna! The hospital was clean and very organized and my room was private with the best A+ nurses! Dr Osuna will take care of you and make you feel comfortable and peaceful! I was sleeved 2/2013 and I began at 211 now 142 and I'm 66 yrs old and never felt better in my life!
I almost went with Dr. Illan but decided to go with Dr. Manuel Garcia Garza. He is more expensive but is listed on the "bariatric center of excellence" website, so to me, it's worth it. I just booked my surgery for Dec. 14th. Super excited and can't sleep now. :) Dr. Illan looks good and the Oasis hospital looks very nice. I haven't heard of Dr. Zavalza.
I had my surgery done in Mexico due to insurance not covering. I searched Docters all over the web. When I found Dr Guillermo Alvarez in Piedras Negras..I just knew he was my choice. You can see his site at Endobariatric.com I was so ready I really wasn't nervous at all. My sister drove with me to San Antionio Tx where you are then picked up and everything is handled, no worries...it really felt more like a vacation. My sister was so impressed with Dr A and team that now she has decided to go too. Also about finding a Dr if something were to go wrong..Dr A takes pride in his craft, he does not treat u like a number. He will answer any questions you have an stands by his work. I had the sleeve so there's no fills or really check ups needed unless u felt something was wrong..I'm less than 2 mo out and I feel great. ? Best of luck
Did you look at the Duodenal Switch as opposed to the RNY? Take a hard look at the switch, then, do what is right for you. the switch has a much better long term record.
Hi, I am wondering how you made out with this doctor. I am using him next month Nov 7.
