Thank you so much for sharing! I am in the same exact boat as you were! And I am beginning to suspect I have abnormally long intestines, as well. I am going to see Dr. Lopez in July.
Speedy recovery! Keep us updated!
Dr. Illan is an amazing surgeon, and he also works as a trauma surgeon at local hospitals. He did my VSG in Dec, 2014. The level of care was phenomenal. He came to my hotel room at 10 o'clock at night to make sure I was ready for the journey home the next day. They look after you every step of the way. I'm not too sure about his new coordinator - Bill Yanez - however. He doesn't seem to be that great at communicating. I was fortunate enough to have Omar as my coordinator.
I don't think Dr. Illan is big into the DS, though. I wouldn't see him for that.
I had surgery with Dr. Illan in December of 2014. He is a fine, respectable surgery who cares about his patients. There were ZERO extra costs to me. I don't remember what they gave me for pain, but a pain pump in Mexico is probably very rare, and totally unnecessary for a sleeve gastrectomy. I was looked after every minute of the day - taken out to walk, taken out to eat and shop, reminded to do my breathing exercises, fed very well (special vegetarian meals), etc. The only extra money I paid was to dine out and a tip for the coordinator, and the shopping that I did.
Has anyone gotten their surgery done from Dr. Carlos at Hospital Jersualem? I am looking into getting a revision done from a sleeve to mini baypass. Please let me know if you or anyone you know have gotten their surgery done from him. thank you!
Has anyone had their surgery with A Slimmer Me or Pompeii Surgical
I have vertical sleeve surgery scheduled in just under 30 days and I'm a little nervous. I'll be using the same Dr and Hospital you did in Juarez. Sure would appreciate any info/ tips/ advise you might have for me. Everything I have read has been positive but I Just don't want any surprises and would like to someone who has done it before I leave the good ole USA to have a surgery.
