I am considering GBP to DS revision surgery in Mexico. Like you, I also would like more information on this type of revision as well as a highly recommended Dr in Mexico. Please share with me any info you have or get.

How soon are u looking to get your revision done? Have you narrowed it down to when, who and where in Mexico.

I am looking into having my gastric bypass revised to a DS or Loop DS. Has anyone had that type of revision? Can anyone recommend a good doctor in Mexico, that does this type of revision?

all you have to tell them is you are having a medical procedure, if they even ask.

Topic: ebook for deciding WLS @ Mexico???

Hi everybody!

I have been searching info regarding bariatric doctors in Mexico for my revision surgery, their credentials, prices, customer experience, and noticed there is a lot of sketchy information out there...

So I'm considering developing an ebook ($50 aprox) that elaborates on top bariatric doctors, credentials, validated surgery numbers, experience, hospitals and their certifications, health concerns, red flags, tips, Health Secretary, Police and news info concerning doctors-hospitals, insurance, etc.

Do you guys think that someone looking for bariatric surgery might purchase it?

What other info do you think is important?

Thanks HollyKim, That's pretty much what I figured, but it was still shocking to get an email response that said that. I have reached out to Mexicali Bariatrics, so hopefully I'll hear back from them. I appreciate the response. :)

Did you have RNY bypass in Mexico? Due to my insurance not covering the surgery stateside, I've been researching Mexico. I'm interested in RNY, not the sleeve, as it's the gold standard. I'd love to get some recommendations for doctors who actually DO perform RNY. Seems most only perform the sleeve. After my research, I did reach out to one doctor, who I won't name but who comes highly recommended, and was told that I was too fat for RNY and that I needed the sleeve. I'm 5'6" and 305 lb. Seems sketchy to me. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

the only group in MX that I recommend is Mexicali Bariatrics.

You are not too fat for the bypass. You just talked to a surgeon who only wants to do sleeves.
