From What I have heard it is quite common. I am considering going back to have Dr. Gilberto Ungson and having a resleeve and ds performed I am scared but I am more scared not to be here for my kids. I am not sure why the surgery failed us but I am not giving up just yet!

Topic: Jan, Feb and March VSG dates check In!

Hi all, I'm schedule for VSG on 2/16/15, and I'm very excited. I wanted to stay in communication with those who will be having their surgery around the same date. I think that support, encouragement, and accountability will make this  journey a success for all of us..

My heavies weight was 309, my current weight is 289, I want my surgery weight to be between 280-275 (I'm working on this now, and I  want my goal weight after VSG to be around 165 (I think) I haven't been at that weight in so long I'm not sure what to expect.

Yall check in with me..

Grrrr. So frustrating. Why did we fail? Or why did the surgery fail us?

Are you planning on going back? Which surgery are you thinking of?

I have had my sleeve at the Florence Hospital, they do have WiFi, not sure about Angeles. I think they should, its a nice hospital. You should ask your coordinator. I asked mine lots of questions before traveling to Tj. And yes, you might want to take your protein with you. I was allowed to drink shakes the day before the surgery and on the third day after. My coordinators provided all that (coconu****er, electrolyte, Gatorade, chicken broth, protein shake...). I couldn`t drink all of it though :) for sure. If you are going to stay at Marriott they do have free WiFi and provide free chicken broth, water and popsicles.

I heard about two of them: Dr.Ortiz and Dr.Valenzuela, nothing bad. I personally was referred to Dr.Francisco Zavalza, went with Go Light Bariatrics. They offer surgeries in the Florence hospital. Was very nice, walked on the beach... They are following up with me every week so far (had it done before Christmas).
