I've never heard of Dr Osuna so can't speak to his/her qualifications or results.
I hit my goal weight 7 months after surgery and have since lost even more pounds. I'm doing great and very happy I chose to go to MX for my mini gastric bypass. All comorbidities have resolved and the only medicine I take is for Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroiditis).
I have heard great things about Dr Quinnones in Tijuana. I know someone who had a good experience and hit their goal weight.
I have booked my RNY for April 23rd through Ready 4 A Change with Dr Osuna in Tijuana Mexico. Anyone have any info?
I have heart great things about Dr Quinnones at Pompeii.
I am getting surgery at the Oasis Hosp as well. But if you google the name it doesn't come up as a weight loss surgery hosp. It comes up with "fraud" warnings for a cancer treatment center.
I am seeing Dr Osuna and that is the hospital she is using as well. I am going to ask my coordinator about that. Have you found any other info?
Looking for some reviews on any of the following:
- Dr. Francisco Contreras
- Oasis of Hope Hospital - Tijuana Mexico
- Renew Bariatrics - Tijuana Mexico
Thinking of booking surgery with them. I just want to be 100% sure I am not being scammed, or seeing a hack.
Hello! Looking for personal experiences with either of the above docs. I had lapband and it had to have remove do to slipping. Has VSG and only lost 30lbs. Want to get MGB revision and in Mexico and want to see which doctor has best reviews. I live in Cali so would like to not fly anywhere. Anything I should know?

I too chose Mexico (Puerto Vallarta) due to my insurance not covering bariatric surgery and I couldn't afford it in the states. I did months of research and checked out the doctors extensively. I work in a hospital so knew what I wanted and what to look for. I am thrilled with my decision and had no complications.
