What!! 9pm... that's out of control. And yeah- single incision, I know that's very important to you and only Dr. Lopez does it as far as MBC goes! It'll work out- will be nice when this is all finally behind you and you're on the loser's bench officially!! what's your date again? I know its this month- exciting!!
me, I'm good! almost 19 lbs down :D incisions are doing well as far as healing, they're not pretty but I'm hoping that will change with time. I got into some size 16s I haven't worn in months and put on a medium top and had lunch with a gf I hadn't seen in a while- she couldn't stop commenting on how great I looked! as soon as I got in the car I had to unbutton those things though- they fit perfectly but sitting down they put way too much pressure on my incision. but that was pretty cool :)
just working on my nutrition now and making sure I'm hitting all my goals. its hard work! but I'm definitely seeing the difference.

Having accompanied my daughter to Tijuana MX for her surgery only 4 weeks ago and experiencing her excellent care, I would strongly suggest you researching Dr. Ramos Kelly - I couldn't imagine his caring and personal bedside manner. He has a wonderful reputation and success rate. I have never met such a caring Doctor.
That's awesome! Do u know if in Mexico I can call Canada for free from it?
I'm staying wih Dr. Lopez he has another coordinator and nutritionist who will be in touch with me on Monday according to Dr. Lopez. I just didn't like what MBC did calling me at 9:00pm at night trying to say that Dr Lopez was no longer certified since he was no longer with them. Shady .. They offered me a different doctor at the same price but I was not able to get Single incision with the sleeve.. The person who they had to call me was just lying through her teeth saying anything..well I'll be glad when when it's over.. But enough about me how's things going with you..
I am 56 years old and I am worried that I am too old to have a VGS performed. I am a full blown insulin carrying diabetic with neuropathy in both my hands and feet. I also have some coronary artery disease and I have had 2 stints inserted in my heart. My health Insurance excludes bariatric surgery so I will have to go to Mexico to have the procedure performed. I fear that I may be too old or too sick to have this surgery done especially in Mexico. I am worried and I am wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation and had surgery in Mexico? How did it go? Who did your surgery? Do you have any regrets?
I had my vsg when I was 56,5 yrears ago. I was tyeii diabetic and I was fully prepared to die having this surgery.
I knew life was not going to be worth living ,for me, if I didn't get my weight and diabetes under control. My pcp told me this as well. He said I would live 10 years less than someone without obesity and diabetes, and those 10 years would not be worth living.
I decided it would be my chance to. Beat the diabetes odds. If I died,on. The table or after,my family knew I was prepared for that possibility.
I have lost 118 pounds and kept it off. My diabetes went I to remission the night of the morning of surgery, showing a perfectly normal blood sugar.
I certainly didn't have the health issues you have, but honestly, I think I would still have gone to MX to have this chance.
The surgery suites are just like every one I was ever in,in the us. Of course, there are some bad doctors there, just as there are bad doctors in the us.
If I were in your shoes, with. Your health issues, the ONLY Mexican surgeon I ,personally would use, would be Dr. Ungson,in Mexicali. You can do a google search for his name and it will bring up his website.
You can fill out. The questionnaire and/or send him an email with your particulArs.
Good luck.
i am just wondering if anyone knows a good app to use on my tablet for text messaging in the U.S. and mexico. I really don't want to take my cell phone but need to get in touch with the driver at the airport.

Yes!! It is a mess! And I think MBC is acting real MESSY in particular- Dr Lopez is starting his own competing company, and MBC is mad and is making shady remarks about his qualifications. As for me, I booked through Dr Lopez directly after months of research, I didn't even know he was affiliated with MB****il after surgery. It was a great experience and he's a wonderful surgeon, I wish they'd leave their corporate beef out of it!!
i definitely feel for you, must be stressful! But it is completely your decision- the other dr.s with MBC are very qualified as well, and you already know dr Lopez is- the truth is you can't go wrong! If it were me I'd have a preference for Lopez since that's who I chose- but in the end I'd probably go with whoever made things easiest for me and/or cut me the better deal. I mean hey- I'm a business woman too ;)
dont stress girl, it'll be just fine and before you know it this will all be in the past!!
