OH Support Group Leader Training

Hello Everyone, I wanted to let you know that OH has a support group leader program to help people start their own support groups in their area. I think its a great idea especially if you know others that would like to get together locally and talk about issues that is happening with them. I have finished my third and final session, each session is 1.5 hr on the phone...I even bought a cheap speakerphone so I wouldn't have to hold the phone for that long but the sessions are very interesting and fun. The lady that does the training, her name is Cathy and she had the RNY and has done quite well. I wanted to start a group in my area, though there is one already in another town, I wanted to have one closer to where I live and where I know a few others live as well. Anyways, it's a great opportunity to learn from each other outside the forum here and you get alot of support from other group leaders. If you are interested, go to the main page and look for support groups locally...and check to where they have training. It's a great way to help others and yourself at the same time.
