Prayers needed
Hi everybody. We all come here when we have the good news to share and unfortunately, I thought I'd come here for some support. A friend of mine and my sister's (she has never posted on the boards)is in Puerta Vallerta and had surgery tonight at 7:00 and we got a call from her husband and even though the surgery went well, they are having a hard time getting her off the vent. Now, she did have a history of this problem with a previous surgery but I guess since this surgery takes so much longer, she's just having a hard time waking up. So if everyone could say a prayer for her and her husband (as he was having surgery tomorrow) then I'm sure that this will be appreciated.
I'm certainly not trying to scare anyone. I have the utmost trust in Dr. Joya and the staff there. I think that everyone here is so supportive and think that they need this support right now. We just all know that if you're at a higher risk, there can always be complications. So please say a prayer. Thanks!
Melissa
Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses, as we forgive those who tresspass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM, THE POWER, AND THE GLORY. FOREVER. Father watch over this lady who's name I do not know, bless her life, keep her safe in your hands father, In Jesus name......AMEN
Hey Sandy! Yes, it is the friends that work with Amy. I just felt so bad because they were so nervous going down there and then it didn't go as smoothe as one would hope. But the good news is that she's now off the vent and now she's just on the non-rebreather. They'll keep her in ICU for a little while longer I suppose. Her husband is now out of surgery and still in recovery. Poor guy, he hasn't slept in 2 days, he's gotta be beat! But thank you for the thoughts and prayers!
Oh Missy..I am so thankful. Thank you for letting us know. Bless thier hearts. I think being off the vent, and on NRM....is just good progress. And she will progress everyday. Now, soon as she gets off O2, and up walking..she might have to push herself even harder..cause she will be at higher risk for pneumonia, and clots. I know 100% she is in good hands!
Let me know how it all goes.
Talk to you soon! Oh yeah...I made my flight arrangements for PV in June!
Sandy
