It's been along time. Just thought I would drop a note and update. Surgery date April 28th 2005 Starting Weight 491 Current Weight 277 Surgeon Dr Aquirre Couldn't feel better, how are all of my south of the border buddies doing?

I will try, there are a few pictures of me at 491. Posted on my fridge, ect. ect. I have a recent picture of my little brother and myself. For the first time in my life I am smaller than him. Richard

Hi Richard, My husband, Steve, weighs only a couple pounds less than you did when you had the surgery. He is amazed by the thought that he might also weigh 277 nine months from now. We're having surgery 1/18. Congrats on your weight loss. Bridget

I had quite a few complications, spent a total of 14 extra weeks in the hospital. Ironically that helped out the rapid weight loss. Even with the complications, I would go back to Ensenada and do it all over again if I had too. One thing I have learned is, while we all share a common bond, our results are our own. Good luck to Steve, tell him to take it easy after surgery. My biggest mistake was, as I started feeling better, I pushed my body harder than I should have. Hence the complications. It takes time to heal, this is a major surgery and should be approached as just that. God Bless, Richard
