Happy Happy New Year!

I have been reading through the posts and looking at some remarkable success . I am so glad to have found this support group. Just knowing that I am not the only one fighting to gain my life back but also seeing those of you who have had to find your own miracle to have your surgery. I am still struggling with getting together money... and it will take time but the one pure joy I have right now is reading about your struggles and success thanks so much for letting me share your weight loss and special stories..... some times we just need a joke and a smile and sometimes to vent. I know this is going to be a great year for everyone on this forum. I know that I can say for sure it will be a year of losing for those who have gotten their surgery. It will be a year of saving for us that are going to be losers. The main thing is it will be a great year of making new friends and learning all about them...... Happy New Year to you! I am a Kim from Louisiana also. I had lap rny 6 weeks ago and would do it again tomorrow. I have lost 39lbs and 2 pants and shirt sizes. This surgery is amazing! I feel so great! I have so much energy! I too had to research and wait for about a year before I could have my surgery. Don't get discouraged! It make take some time to get things together but it is wel worth the wait! I look forward to hearing your wonderful stories of success in the near future. Happy New Year! Kim in Louisiana

Thanks Kim For your encouragement, I am so ready to change but all good things take time. My husband I think is sick of me talking about it....lol but whats really funny is I will say things like (kim from the board has lost 39 pds in 6 weeks and is feeling so much better she had her surgery in mexico) believe me I will tell him about you tonight.... I love that everyone is doing so good. I remember last week I was telling him about Genie and her son-in-law telling her she would blow away.... Lorraine who is missing in action has lost 100 pds in 5 months I bet it is way more now... Cindy made it to onederland in 7 and 1/2 months..... GOSH I am so proud and happy at the same time... the stories are amazing... to hear success from people just like me who have struggled with this weight their whole lives..... I have kinda gotten used to lugging the weight around with me so it is not the fact that I am fat that bothers me it is my health I want to be a grandma one day and be able to run around and play not just sit and watch .... I thank you all for sharing
