Gastric Pacemaker

I've heard of this new technique, one thing...if you ever need an MRI or any type of scans, I don't think you can with any type of pacemaker. I know with patients with heart pacemakers, they cannot have MRI's. So, I wonder if they have answered these questions? Does anyone know about the gastric pacemaker? I know it's still in trials here in the US.

HMMM---makes me wonder if those who have staples in their stomach can have MRI--I would think not if they're metal staples--cause the MRI is a huge magnet and will pull on any metal objects in the body....
