Having surgery in Monterrey on 12/13

Can anyone give me warnings/advice about Lap Band surgery there. Do you feel well enough pre or post surgery to see sights? Is help readily available if you need it? Thanks, Diane

I was going to make my surgery into a vacation. Dr Aceves' patient coordinator advised me not to do that. Reasons: Prior to surgery it's necessary to watch what you eat. I'm 4 days pre-op and there's no way I could concentrate on seeing the sights. After surgery I was told I probably wouldn't want to exert myself. It does make sense to take a vacation in conjunction (prior to) with a fill. Hopefully, by then, there will be some weight loss and I won't have to tote this weight around with me. After the fill you're back to fluids again. I postponed my vacation. Maybe next summer I can take my kids and really enjoy Mexico. Dori Smilz
