I would suggest you check out Dr. Rumbaut. He is a highly qualified surgeon. He is one of the first surgeons to do the lap band. He also teaches American doctors how to do the surgery. His web site is www.gastricband.com. I checked him out from one end to the other and could not find anything neggative unlike some of the other doctors. His hospital is very very clean and nice. His staff speaks english very well and so does he. They came to the hotel twice to check on me. They are very customer service. He puts you up in a beautiful hotel and makes all your transportation arrangments in mexico. Check out his web site you will be glad that you did.

I am looking into getting surgery in Mexico. However, I am intrested in the RYN. How long did it take you to schedule your surgery? Any other info would greatly be apprieciated.( Total cost/what it includes) How you got the process started?

I would check out Dr. Aguirre for RNY procedure. If you email his office they will get back with you very promptly. The cost for the RNY is, I believe $10,000. Good Luck!!

Hi, I just came back from Monterrey where i had the Lap band. I have some very strong bias against the RNY. My daughter almost died this summer as a result of it and it was done in the states, here in Chattanooga in fact by a very good surgeon. It was not a botched surgery but is a dangerous one. It is a brutal surgery, my daughter has gone from overweight and healthy to severly nutritionally deprived. Email me off line if you want more details and I will pass them on.
