Checkups after RNY

Hi! Do any of you get checkups (bloodwork, etc.) who have had RNY? Was it difficult to find a local doc who would do the checkups? Thanks!

I had a local bariatric surgeon that was willing to tell me what blood work needed done. My primary care Dr. has taken care of me since my surgery. He does blood work every 3 months and if he needs to know anything the bariatric Dr. has told him to call with any questions that may help in my care. The bariatric Dr. had agreed to take me as a patient but my insurance will not cover his office visits so the family Dr. does it for me.
