Leaving for my journey July 4th 7:30AM.. I'm SO excited!!
Hi everyone.. I'm so glad I have on here to post on to. I have to really keep my cool around everyone here because they are freaking out that I am going to Mexico.. I can't believe the mentality of everyone.. it's like they think no one in other countries gets or performs surgeries.. geezzzzz
As for nutrition right after surgery.. what does everyone recommend? I went and bought Flinstones Vitamins today, as well as sublingual B12 (how many mcg's are we supposed to take?) I also saw what everyone wrote about broth. What else should I bring with me to Monterrey?

I brought the crystal light to go packets to add to bottled water. It was nice to have because even though the grocery store behind the hotel had premade crystal light, they had different flavors than we have here. I tried a few but didn't like them. I also brought some sugar free jello from Walmart that didn't need to be refridgerated. Bring a couple good books too. There are only a few english channels, one of them being HBO. We watched the same 3 movies about 4 times each during those 10 days! How about a little sunscreen? And your bathing suit! Just because you are having surgery doesn't mean you can't have a little fun! Oh yeah, comfy slip on sandals and comfy pants!
I wish you all the best for a safe and speedy trip, surgery and recovery!

Best of luck on your journey. I will be going to Monterrey on July 14th, having lap rny on the 15th. I imagine you will be gone by the time I get there. I will be at the Clinica Vitra, having surgery by Dr. Zapata. I will be staying at the Hampton Inn Galleria. I wish you the very best on your entire weightloss journey. I'll be watching to see your posts after you get back to see how you are doing. Chrissy from Kansas
