New to the South of the border page

Hi Everyone! My name is Tosya and I post in the Texas board. I just recently forund out that insurance will not pay and since I like my job and dont plan on changing in hopes to get a insurance to cover I have decided to try and finaince it and to cut cost go to mexico. I have pretty much decided on Dr Rumbaut in Monterrey Mexico I thought I would post here to meet some people who are going through of have gone through the same thing. I am 29 and live in Fort Worth Tx Tosya

I am also new here, I was recently denied by ins co too and have decided on Mexico, though I must travel from Idaho. I have decided on Dr Aguirre in Ensenada. I have heard many wonderful things about him. I have heard of Dr Rumbaut also and from what I recall it was all good. good luck Jeremy

Welcome to South of the Boarder. most of us have and are in the same situation with insurance. Mexico can be a great alternative for those of us here. I had Dr Aguirre and am so pleased with the outcome. 2 +++year post op. Everyone on this board has so much to share. I wish you all the best in your new journey!

Tosya, Heya i read your post and i just thought i would add if money is an issue for you at all, it was for me I know of a very good doctor in Tijuana MX that offers the same surgery for thousands less than most and is still very credible in all aspects. His name is Dr.Huacuz and I had my lapband with him 4/2/2005 it doesnt look like thats the same surgery youre looking for but i know that Dr.Huacuz offers all the bariatric surgeries and still for very competetive rates.. if youre interested in more info please feel free to email me k [email protected] either way best of luck to you on your journey! g
