Hi, I am leaving for Mexicali on Monday morning to have surgery with dr. Aceves. I will be in the hospital for 5 days & a hotel for the last 2 days. What kinds and how much food & drinks should I bring??? For those of you that had the Lap RNY w/Fobi Pouch, how quickly was your recovery?? Thanks for your help , wj

Hi! I had lap RNY (no fobi) and the recovery is quick. I really never did have abdominal pain. I had gas pains from all the gas they use in surgery, my tummy was tight as a drum for 12 hours. Once that was over, I was great, out of bed, walking, showering, etc. I had my surgry 6/3/05 and my incisions look like small cat scratches! You will be amazed! Good luck, Bonnie
