The whole time I was in Mexico, I didn't struggle with sinuses at all. I did have allergies for awhile. Sneezing sure hurts an incision! Anyway, as soon as I hit Texas, my whole head stops up! I cannot get 1 spec of air through either nostril! I took liquid tylenol for the headache, but I can't breathe! Can I take anything for that????? Also, I know some Dr.'s say 6 small meals a day, but Dr. A is 3 meals a day only with NO snacking. How is that working out for all of you older post ops? Any help greatly apprecitated! Genie

Genie, I had such a time with food that I finally decided that if I could keep it down, I would eat it. We eat such small amts that I still lost weight and sizes. I stay with complete balance trying to eat protein, vegs, fruits, milk, whatever works. Also, a meal might be a 3 oz protein drink. I cut up 1/2 banana, a little 1% milk and some protein in my blender w/ a little ice. Also I use protein soy milk. Or use strawberries. Just be creative and blend something wonderful. You will do great. this time shall pass quickly. As far as medicine goes, I crush regular pills and take it with a little bit of water. Juice made it worse for me. You could try it either way, or take it with applesauce. Not sure what you take for allegeries besides Vitamins A & D. So glad you are back home. Kay & Candice

Hi Genie!! You might try some thyme tea for your stuffy nose. I am not sure if your new tiny tummy will get upset by it, but I can't imagine it would be any harder on it than pills would be?? Maybe steap some thyme in some yummy chicken broth? Hope you feel better soon hun! Love and hope to you! Tera
