Peanut butter cheesecake spread!!!
Okay - I got a little sick of eating the Fat Free Philly cream cheese. Yes, it's better than the other brands, but it's still a bit harsh on the tongue. So I decided to experiment today and it was FANTASTIC! I had maybe half a container left which is roughly 6 or 7 tablespoons of ff cream cheese. Then I took a couple tablespoons of peanut butter, mixed it in well and added about 4 packets of Splenda (I like it sweet). Then I took it and spread it thick on a Corn thin cake (like a rice cake but half the thickness). This was just nothing short of spectacular!
The coolest thing is that it's still lower in fat and chock full of protein - yet it tastes like dessert! I'm taking this stuff to work tonight. Yummers!
Were I to have eaten the whole thing, it would have been 23 grams of protein, 280 calories 16 grams of fat and 9 grams of carbs, 2 of which are fiber. And the best part is I had maybe 1/3 of that at most and it was so satisfying. I also don't think I used a whole 2 tbsp of peanut butter for that amount, but it's hard to say since I was eyeballing.
Anyway, wanted to share so you peanut butter lovers who get yourselves into trouble by eating too much of it can get a fix with less impact!
