Celia - I'm so sorry I didn't read the board sooner. WELCOME BACK! I'm happy you are doing well, but what a big ol' bummer on that trip! I would be emotionally wiped out for having missed a flight!!!
As for the weight loss, you are doing fantastic! Generally many people lose about 1 lb a day for a week or two then they taper down after that. I'm a slow loser, so don't look to me to tell you about my astronomical losses! Just know that whatever your rate of loss, it's likely going to be normal, and prepare yourself to stall because almost everyone does...and many of us early on (like about the 2-3 week mark). So just steel your nerves for that and be ready! You will be fine!!!
