How often do you weigh?
Short question, long answer...
When I get up (I might gain when gravity finds me)
After I pee (get rid of that excess water)
After I get naked (the nightgown might weigh something)
After I shower (wash off all of that heavy old dirt)
After I poop (get rid of that excess you-know-what)
Before I get dressed (maybe some more water evaporated)
After I get dressed (let's see, how much do the clothes weigh?)
Before I eat (can I have more or less this meal?)
After I eat (sheesh - can 1/2 cup of cottage cheese really weigh half a pound?)
If I feel fat (usually)
If I feel thin (rarely)
When clothes are too tight (they must have shrunk)
When clothes feel loose (again, rarely)
Before I go to bed (maybe I didn't really eat too much for dinner)
When I get up....
Etc., Etc. Etc.
It's really not that bad, but I must confess that I have done stuff like that in the past. Now I weigh naked before I shower (after the bathroom stuff of course). That is my "official" weight for the day. Then I generally hop back on before bed to see whether I can expect the scale to stay the same the next day or go down. I hope that I can wean myself except for once every few days, but overweighing, like overweight, has been a longterm pattern in my life! Charlotte
Charlotte, too funny! It really is like that isn't it? I know I am really doing myself a favor when I only weigh once a day, after all those things! When I get really bummed I try to wait a week, I think I managed to wait two days, before sneaking apeak just to see if it is still stuck! Thanks for the grin!
I only weigh once a week. In the first couple of weeks I would get on the scale daily and got too disappointed. I would rather wait a week and see some loss than be bummed out if the scale doesn't move. I hate to weigh. I didn't even weigh myself before surgery (I don't own a scale) and had to email Rosella for my pre-op weight.
